Island of Sal
Sal is an island known around the world for its majestic beaches. Year-round sun, an average of 350 days, provides a near-guarantee for beautiful weather to enjoy the clean, white sands and turquoise waters. Sal is among the flatter islands of Cabo Verde, with a maximum altitude of 406 m (1,332 ft.). From scuba diving in underwater caves and beautiful coral reefs, to a swim in the salt marshes of Pedra da Lume, the island of Sal offers many different experiences for the aquatic adventurer. The island of Sal is located to the far east of the Windward (Barlavento) group of islands in the archipelago.
